Last year B.C. Rain finished fifth in Class 5A region 1 with a 2-4 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs. Since 2010, B.C. Rain has gone a combined 18-44. Their 29.0% winning percentage ranks 50th in Class 6A over the past six seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, B.C. Rain has managed to compile a record of 114-147. Their 44.0% winning percentage ranks 41st in Class 6A and 246th in the AHSAA. The Red Raiders are led by head coach Tellis Stone who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 11-21 over the past three seasons at B.C. Rain. Under his direction the Red Raiders have qualified for the playoffs once. They have not won a region crown with Coach Stone. Coach Stone's overall record as a head football coach in three seasons stands at 11-21 (34.4%). Over the course of his career, Coach Stone's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of one time . The B.C. Rain Red Raiders will play in Class 6A region 1 during the 2016 season. The Red Raiders move up in classification to Class 6A. They may find the going slightly tougher with the move. It will be an uphill battle for the Red Raiders if they hope to grab one of the four playoff slots in Region 1 this season. The Red Raiders open the 2016 season at home against non-region opponent Chickasaw on Friday, August 19 at Trimmier Park. Last year the Chickasaw Chieftains finished with an overall record of 4-7 and in fourth place in Class 1A region 1. The Chieftains lost in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs to Notasulga by a score of 22-7. B.C. Rain and Chickasaw have met a total of 1 times on the football field.
